What Is Simple Swaps Box?

 

We are a subscription box service that offers monthly boxes filled with Australian eco-friendly products for you to use in and around your home. Each month you will receive a number of products to test with each box offering new alternatives to explore. 

 

How Does Simple Swaps Box Work?

 

You decide which service suits you best.  Choose from a 12 month subscription, 6 month subscription or purchase a single box. All boxes will be posted on the first business day of each month with Australia Post.

 

If you choose a subscription product your payment will be deducted on the 20th  of each month while your subscription lasts.

 

If you choose a Single purchase box, your payment will be deducted at the time of purchase and your box will be posted with the next round of subscription boxes on the 1st business day of the month following your order. 

 

What’s Inside Simple Swaps Box?

 

Essentials Box - contains 3-4 full sized eco-friendly products for you to use and whole lot of love.  This box will feature a combination of consumable and non-consumable products. The ratio may vary but there will always be a something to straight away and something that will last in your home. And of course, everything will be Australian owned. 

 

Deluxe Box – includes all of the essential box products and then some. This box will contain 5-7 full sized Aussie eco-friendly products. 

 

What’s Included In The Price?

 

Other than the products themselves, you are paying for the Simple Swaps Box team to carefully research the products and brands that go into the box. We do all of the research so you don’t have to. We then carefully choose items that pair well together to provide you with an experience that you will look forward to each month. Once we’ve received the products from our suppliers, we lovingly pack them (in eco-friendly packaging of course) before sending them on their way to you. 

 

 

How Much Does It Cost?

 

The prices for the various subscriptions are listed in our shop. There are no hidden fees. You pay the purchase price of the box + postage and that’s it. 

 

How Does Billing Work?

 

For subscription products you will be billed on the 20th of each month (or the following business day if the 20th falls on a weekend or public holiday.) 

For one time purchase products, you will be billed at the time of purchase. 

 

When is the Monthly Order Cut Off Date?

 

Orders must be placed by the 20th of each month in order to receive the following months box. This is to allow us suffient time to receive the items for your box.  eg. customers who place an order between 21st March - 20th April will be sent their box on 1st of May, customers who after 21st of April but before the 20th of May will receive the June box. 

 

This means, if you order early if may feel like a bit of a wait for your first box but once your subscription is rolling you won't even notice. And we promise it will be worth the wait. 

 

When Will I Get My Box

 

Orders will be sent on the 1st business day of each month.  You will receive a tracking number at this time and will be able to track your order with Auspost.

 

Where and How Do You Ship?

 

Boxes will be posted with Australia Post from our little local Post Office. At the moment we are only offering standard shipping. We are hoping to offer an express post option soon. 

 

How Can I Cancel My Subscription?

 

We will be sad to see you go, but you can cancel your subscription at any time. Just log in to your Simple Swaps Box account and follow the instructions to cancel. 

 

If you have committed to a 6 or 12 month subscription plan and still have boxes to receive, you will be billed for & shipped the remaining boxes. Once your subscription term is complete you are free to cancel without any penalties or hidden fees. 

 

Any discounts given on the first month of a 6 or 12 month subscription require that you stay subscribed for the entire initial commitment period. If you request to cancel before the end of the initial commitment period, you no longer qualify for any discount on any boxes and must pay the full monthly for any box you received a discount on. 

 

You must cancel your subscription 48 hours before the renewal date. All cancellation requests received after the renewal date will apply to the following renewal.

 

Can I Skip a Box or put My Subscription on Hold?

 

If you are experiencing financial hardship or will not be home for a period of time to receive your shipment, you may request to skip a box or put your subscription on hold for a period of time. 

 

You may skip a box a maximum of three times during any subscription period. 

 

The maximum period you may put your subscription on hold for is three months

 

Can I Get a Refund?

 

Change of mind – unfortunately we do not offer refunds for change of mind.

 

Damaged Items – Each item is checked prior to postage and is carefully packaged. However if an item is damaged when you receive it please take a photo of the item and packaging and email it to hello@simpleswapsbox.com.au . We will be happy to provide you with a replacement. If no replacement is available, we will provide you with a refund for the recommended retail value of that product. 

 

Can I Sign Up For Just One Box?

 

Absolutely! These are perfect for a gift. Although, as stock is ordered monthly to meet demand, when you order a single box you will receive the box that is due to go out on the 1st business day of the month following your order i.e. If you place your order on the 3rd of March your box will be posted on the 1st of April, if you place your order on the 20th June your box will be sent on 1st July.

 

What If It’s A Gift? Can I Get It Sooner?

 

As mentioned above, stock is ordered monthly to meet demand so we can only guarantee having products available to send with our next regular monthly shipment. However, we always order a few extra items to account for damaged so we may have extra of the previous months box available to send. If you have an urgent request please contact us BEFORE placing your order. We are always happy to help in any way we can. 

 

Will You Be Selling The Individual Items From Your Boxes?

 

Our aim is to showcase Australian eco-friendly products and introduce you to them. From time to time we may have some excess stock that we will offer for sale on our website but generally we would prefer to direct you to the individual companies to re purchase. If you ever need help finding a stockist for a product we’ve introduced you to, please contact us.
